This is my smoothie I have every day, and if I don’t get it, then everyone in the house knows about it! I’m hangry and thinking about food all day. This recipe serves 1 and will keep you going until lunch-time.
This is absolutely delicious and I promise you won’t even notice the banana is missing! And the egg thing… that’s only because I wanted to up the protein without adding in protein powder as I don’t like it to taste too “gritty” and sweet. Totally understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but you honestly don’t know it’s in there. Just add another scoop of protein powder instead.
Ingredients:
½ cup frozen berries
½ cup of frozen cauliflower rice or chopped, steamed, frozen courgette (a great tip for summer!)
1 tbsp greens powder (I like Matakana Superfoods)
1 cup nut milk and then top up with water to desired consistency
1.5 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp brewer’s yeast
1 raw egg or ¼ cup egg white
25-30gm of pea protein powder
Method:
Place all of the above into a blender and blend on high until you get a smooth consistency.
